Saved as a PNG with a transparent background, so it sits cleanly on top of a document. Your signature stays in your browser — never uploaded, never stored, gone when you close the page.
How to use
Draw your signature with a mouse or finger and save it as a PNG with a transparent background, so it can sit on a document without hiding the text beneath. Nothing is uploaded or stored — close the page and the drawing is gone.
When to use it
- Producing a signature image for a contract or a form.
- Avoiding the print, sign and re-scan routine.
- Making the transparent PNG that the PDF stamp tool needs.
How to use it
- Sign inside the box by dragging with the mouse or using your finger — a phone or tablet feels most natural.
- Choose the pen width and colour (black, blue or red).
- Use Undo for one stroke at a time, or Clear to start over.
- Turn on Trim margins to crop the empty space around the signature.
- Press Download PNG.
Good to know
- The file is a transparent PNG, so it never puts a white box over your document.
- Nothing is saved anywhere. Closing or refreshing the page discards the drawing; only the file you downloaded remains.
- Trimming crops tightly to the strokes, which makes the image much easier to size inside a document.
- This tool produces a picture. It is not a certificate-backed digital signature.
Frequently asked questions
It is hard to sign with a mouse.
Drawing on a phone or tablet with a finger or stylus is far easier; transfer the downloaded PNG to your computer afterwards. With a mouse, a slightly thicker pen hides the wobble.
Where do I use the signature?
Load it into the PDF stamp tool to place it anywhere in a contract. The letter and certificate templates on this site can take it as an image too.
Is my signature stored?
No. It exists only on this device while the page is open and is never sent to a server. Download the PNG before you leave.
Is it legally valid?
It produces a picture of a signature, which is not the same as a certificate-based digital signature. Acceptance depends on the recipient, so check their requirements for anything official.
