Which tool do I need?
QR codes, hashes and UUIDs — 3 tools that produce something. Everything you type and everything generated stays inside your browser; nothing is uploaded or stored.
- QR codes: links and text, but also Wi-Fi credentials, contact cards, email and SMS.
- SHA hashes: the checksum that proves a download arrived intact. SHA-256, 384 and 512.
- UUIDs: collision-free identifiers (v4, from the cryptographic random generator).
- Even a Wi-Fi password is turned into the pattern inside this browser — it goes nowhere else.
Why no MD5?
Because it is possible to construct two different files with the same MD5, and the same applies to SHA-1. Offering them for integrity checks would only create false confidence.
Do generated QR codes expire?
No. The content lives inside the pattern, so the code works regardless of this site — unlike codes that point at a shortening service which may one day vanish.
