My IP Address
Check your public IP
Shows only the connection IP provided by Cloudflare. Your IP is not stored.
How to use
Shows the public IP address your connection is going out through. It reads only the address Cloudflare passed along with your request and displays it — the address is never stored.
When to use it
- Finding the IP to add to a server allowlist or a remote-access rule.
- Confirming that a VPN actually changed your address.
- Seeing what address your home or office network presents.
How to use it
- Open the page and it is shown immediately.
- Use copy to take the address.
Good to know
- This is the public IP — how the internet sees you. A private address such as 192.168.x.x cannot be read by a web page.
- The address is not stored, only displayed.
- No location is shown. IP-based location is frequently wrong, often pointing at carrier equipment, and presenting a guess as fact is not acceptable here.
- On mobile data and some networks the address can change from one connection to the next.
Frequently asked questions
Why not show my private IP?
A web page cannot read it — browsers block that for security. Use `ipconfig` on Windows, `ifconfig` on macOS, or your router's admin page.
My VPN is on but the address has not changed.
Either the VPN is not actually connected, or the browser is showing a cached result. Refresh the page, and check the VPN status if it still matches.
Where am I connecting from?
Services do guess locations from IP addresses, but they are often wrong — frequently showing the city of a carrier facility tens or hundreds of kilometres away. That is why no estimated location appears here.
Why is an IPv6 address shown?
Because the connection is using IPv6. On dual-stack networks either form can appear depending on the route taken.
