Stopwatch
Measure elapsed time
All timing runs locally in this browser and is not sent to a server.
How to use
A plain stopwatch with start, pause and reset — nothing else. Milliseconds can be shown or hidden, and everything is measured on this device alone.
When to use it
- Timing a talk or a workout.
- Timing something short, like cooking or a study block.
- Finding out how long a task really takes.
How to use it
- Press Start and the clock runs.
- Pause stops it; press again to continue.
- Reset returns it to zero.
- Turn on milliseconds if you need them.
Good to know
- Closing or refreshing the page loses the reading, because nothing is stored.
- If the device sleeps, the browser may pause too. Keep the screen awake for long measurements.
- Milliseconds are indicative. Browser timing has limits and is not suitable for competitive results.
- Nothing is sent to a server.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there no lap button?
More buttons mean more wrong presses in a hurry, so it keeps to start, pause and reset. For laps, pause, read the figure and resume.
Does it keep running in a background tab?
Usually yes, though browsers throttle inactive tabs, so the display can stutter. For long sessions, leave the tab visible.
Is the time saved?
No. It disappears when the page closes, so write down anything you need to keep.
Can it alert me at a set time?
There is no countdown or alarm; it only shows elapsed time.
